Laptop battery conditioning and Recycling Laptop Batteries

New Laptop Battery Tips: This document explains how we recommend you should meet your new laptop battery, using a very simple charging cycle. This will ensure a long lifetime of the battery and larger.

It is very important that you fully cycle and 'condition' you battery before you use it. All new batteries should be fully conditioned at an early stage at least 8-20 cycles (cycle = one full charge, a full discharge) if not, youwill not get the optimum runtime in hours from your battery.

It is very common for customers to believe that there are errors with the battery when in fact they have very good battery, which requires only a true air.

When you receive a new laptop battery is fully discharged and you will not berkondisi. Please do not turn on your laptop as the battery will not work at all.

Your battery will normally take 8-10 and the cost ofdisposal to achieve its full capacity. However, your battery will not reach its full potential until it has been conditioned at least fifty times. Until then you may experience lower performance.

Other situations you may face is, and load indicator LEDs on your laptop will not give accurate information until the battery is fully conditioned - it is very common for customers to believe that their battery is damaged. Please do not blame the battery! Just followunder the direction of this cycle.

During the first charge, your laptop may indicate that charging is complete after a short period of time (approximately 15 minutes). It will be there and be normal, if this happens, remove the battery from your laptop and repeat the charging procedure. You then need to use your laptop as normal (without the power adapter attached), until the battery completely runs down.

Repeat the above procedure forminimum of eight times over the next few days. Always make sure you allow your battery enough time to get a full night charge.

Term,

Cycle - One full night charge and full discharge without an AC adapter is installed in

Charge - Overnight charge with the AC adapter is installed in power.

Discharge - Service exhausting your battery's power (a Computer operating with a fully charged battery in the laptopand the AC adapter is unplugged).

Condition - This is the charge / discharge you must complete the process. This will increase both the runtime and the life of your battery.

Runtime - The term of your battery will last for.

Around 577 million household batteries primary (non-rechargeable) that is sold in the UK in 1998. It is used in a variety of everyday appliances such as torches, radios and power toys.

Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) rechargeablebatteries are also common in the household, was found in equipment such as electrical appliances, camcorders, Laptops and mobile phones (there are separate pieces of information about the phone).

Dry cell batteries require fifty times as much energy to make than to give out.

There are difficulties with the traditional recycling technology for general purpose (non-rechargeable) batteries, as efficient separation and collection of various types of batteriesdifficult. Battery industry in the UK now has eliminated mercury from their products, although a small number of batteries containing mercury are still imported from abroad.

Check with your battery manufacturer to see if they operate a recycling scheme or take-back. This is particularly necessary for NiCd batteries because they are the most dangerous type of battery found in the home.
